NOTICE: Only an Authorizing Agent according to RCW 68.50.160 may authorize any services such as viewing, cremation, etc. And only an Authorizing Agent can direct the disposition of the cremated remains.

Order of Authorizing Agent with Right to Control Disposition of Remains per RCW 68.50.160:

  1. Self- A person has the right to control the disposition of his or her own remains without the predeath or postdeath consent of another person. 
  2. The Designated Agent of the decedent as directed through a written document signed and dated by the decedent in the presence of a witness. The direction of the designated agent is sufficient to direct the type, place, and method of disposition;
  3. The surviving Spouse or state registered domestic partner;
  4. The MAJORITY of the surviving adult children of the decedent;
  5. The surviving Parents of the decedent;
  6. The MAJORITY of the surviving siblings of the decedent;
  7. A court-appointed Guardian for the person at the time of the person's death.

GENERAL PRICE LIST

INCLUDES: 24/7 Removal & Transport from the place of death within our 7 county service area; Refrigeration/Sheltering; Online, In-office, or Phone Arrangements, Notify Social Security; Coordinate with Coroner, Doctor, and Health Department to ensure timely certification and permit; Cremation or Aquamation (<300lbs); Basic Cremation Tray; Basic White Cardboard or Black Plastic Urn Box given to family in reinforced receiving bag; Secure Veteran’s Burial Flag; Recruit Veteran's Military Honors; Coordinate w/ National Cemetery; Order and Obtain Death Certificates from Local Health Department (does not include cost of death certificates).

CHOOSE PACKAGE

Our primary Service Area includes 7 counties with no additional mileage charges: King, Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Kitsap.

The Doctor, Coroner, or Medical Examiner's certification of the cause of death for the Death Certificate is required to obtain a permit from the Health Dept. for cremation. The timing of that certification is out of our control and without certification for permit we are unable to proceed with the cremation. We always attempt to obain the permit in a timely fashion but with a "RUSH" we will make extra effort to "motivate" the certifier to complete his/her part more quickly in order to help expedite the process. Once the disposition permit has been obtained from the government, we will complete the cremation in 2-3 business days for a Rush Cremation. Without a Rush the time to complete a cremation is approx 5-10 business days after receiving the permit.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Minimum Preparation of an unembalmed body is required for any viewing (whether paying your respects for 5 minutes or an hour) in order to ensure a safe, clean, and peaceful experience for all. The Min. Preparation charge includes the minimum preparations and use of facility and staff for a one hour ID viewing at the Shelton facility during the week M-F before 4pm. Overtime is anytime after 4pm on Saturday-Sunday. Some families prefer to upgrade to Embalming preparation for viewing even though it is not required for an ID viewing. If you choose "No Viewing" then you acknowledge that no one will need to view the decedent prior to the cremation. Autopsy Restoration is required for viewing if the decedent has had an autopsy. Dressing is optional and if not selected, then we will use the clothing that was on the decedent when they came into our care.

PREPARATION FOR VIEWING

If you plan to bring in a family provided urn or any urn or jewelry not purchased from our firm, then there is a charge added for our service in transferring and placing Cremated Remains into your provided item or items (per 4 items). This charge also covers requests to split the Cremated Remains into multiple sections or portions in order to be given to multiple people. Please provide any instruction for us here.

The Complete Cremation Package includes us retreiving the US Flag and Recruiting Military Honors as per request of Veteran families. Please select if you would like us to coordinate with the National Cemetery Scheduling Office in St. Louis in order to schedule a military service or the placement of the Cremated Remains at one of our country's National Cemeteries.

MEMORIAL VIDEO

Many families need one or more official certified copies of the death certificate to take care of certain estate, probate, or other business following a death. Certified Death Certificates are ordered and obtained from the local health department. You can have our firm order and obtain official certified copies of the death certificate from the health department for you to pickup at our office or for mailing. You may also order and obtain them directly. NOTE: Certain information you provide here in this online planner will be placed on the Death Certificate. If changes or corrections are requested after the Death Certificate has printed and the corrections required are due to family error, then an additional administrative fee of $75 will be incurred to reorder and reobtain new corrected Death Certificates.
