Jane Ellerbroek Obituary

Jane Marie Ellerbroek

September 25, 1946 – May 30, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well-lived, we celebrate the remarkable journey of Jane Marie Ellerbroek (née Nault), who passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025.

Born on September 25, 1946, to Wilferd and Virginia Nault, Jane was one of nine children and shared a special bond with her twin sister Jean. Though many of her siblings—Bob, Mae, Leo, Duane, Gerald, Jean, and Delphine—have passed before her, Jane’s love for her family remained strong and ever-present. She is survived by her youngest brother, Gary Paul.

Jane’s life was a joyful expression of curiosity, compassion, and endless energy. She brought warmth into every space and lit up every room she entered. Whether she was out on an adventure or enjoying a quiet moment in her beloved garden in Lacey, Washington, she lived with an open heart and a contagious zest for life.

Jane shared 58 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Franklin George Ellerbroek II. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She was a loving mother to Tammi Jean Ellerbroek and Franklin George Ellerbroek III, and a cherished mother-in-law to Laura Ellerbroek. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren, Jarred and Jake Ellerbroek, whose lives she enriched with countless adventures, camping trips, and heartfelt traditions.

A proud and active member of the Red Hat Society, Jane found community and joy among her many friends, always embracing life with style and a splash of fun. She started each day with purpose—walking five miles daily with her dear friend Jean, spending time together and sharing life stories.

Jane’s love for nature was everywhere—in the way she cared for her vibrant yard, in the special rocks she collected on trips (and found clever ways to sneak home), and in the serenity she found on the water during boating adventures, especially on Banks Lake and throughout the Puget Sound.

Family meant everything to Jane. She treasured monthly cousin get-togethers, never missing a chance to share stories, laughter, and love. Her presence at birthdays, milestones, and ordinary days alike created a lasting legacy of joy, strength, and unwavering support.

To know Jane was to experience pure enthusiasm—for life, for others, and for every small joy the world had to offer. She was a light in our lives, a guiding hand, and a source of endless encouragement. She leaves behind a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and unconditional love.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
