Robert McIntosh Obituary

Robert Lee McIntosh, a devoted husband, father, brother, son and true friend,

passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 22, 2025. Robert was born on May 1,

1969, in Dayton, Ohio. Robert was married 32 wonderful years to his wife, Hilda

McIntosh. Together they built a beautiful family, raising two amazing sons, Victor

McIntosh and Sterling McIntosh, both of whom brought him immense pride and

joy.


Robert lived in Alaska when he was very young then moved to the Puget Sound

area. He attended Hood Canal Elementary School and graduated from Shelton

High School. Robert played football and wrestled in high school. After high school,

Robert attended Washington State University where he obtained a Bachelor's in

Psychology. Later he earned his Master’s in Criminal Justice.


Robert served in the U.S. Army after the Army, he continued to serve his

community. He worked for the State of Washington for over 26 years. Robert’s

career included working with children, youth, adults, seniors, and served as a case

worker for people with disabilities.


Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors and going on hikes.

He was skilled at working with his hands in construction and anything mechanical.

He loved reading books, watching movies, listening to music and learning new

things.


He is survived by his wife, Hilda McIntosh of Belfair, WA. His children: Victor

McIntosh of Seattle, WA and Sterling McIntosh of Belfair, WA.


He is also survived by his parents Bob and Anita McIntosh of Shelton, WA. His

siblings: Lisa Buechel and her husband Michael Buechel of Umina Beach, Australia,

Kelly McIntosh and her husband Michael Evans of Belfair, WA, Michael McIntosh

and his partner Lee Rivera of San Jose, CA, Jason McIntosh of Shelton, WA and

Sarah Maiava and her husband Tasesa of Olympia, WA.


He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews living in the states of

Washington, Texas, Utah and in the country of Australia. His two aunts of the state

of Kentucky and an uncle from the state of Ohio. Including cousins from Kentucky,

Ohio and Utah.


A church service will be held at Belfair Community Church on Thursday, September

4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and burial will be on the same day in Shelton

Memorial Park from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
