CHRISTINA LOPEMAN-BRAGG


Christina Marie Lopeman-Bragg (Doonzie) passed away at her home in Kamilche, Washington on September 23, 2025.

She was 54 years old. She was a proud member of the Squaxin Island Tribe.


Her father was William Lopeman of Kamilche, Washington and her mother was Janice (Mesplie) Lopeman also of Kamilche. She was married to Wyatt Bragg, the love of her life for the last twenty years and they lived together on the reservation for that time.


She graduated from Capital High School and also studied for a Medical Assisting Degree. She worked at the Bingo Hall at Little Creek Casino as well as being a Blackjack Dealer. Her real passion was advocating and exercising her treaty shellfish and fishing rights which has been her livelihood for the past thirty years or so.


Christina loved the music of the Little River Band and AC/DC. She loved Will Ferrell movies. She was kind and always aware of the homeless and others less fortunate and always spread kindness. Christina liked to gamble at the local casinos. Her children and her family were the most important to her. She loved them with all of

her heart.


Christina was known to be a force to be reckoned with and was also known to be fierce in a good way. She loved her furry friends. Her cats were her babies, and she tended to them lovingly (spoiled) and named each. Her cats were important to her, and their names were Whitebrow, Wolfgang, Princess, Homeless and Blackie.


Christina is preceded in her death by her father, Willilam Lopeman in 2019, and younger sister Angela Lopeman in 2021. She is preceded in death also by her grandparents, Mary Lopeman, and Ray and Rena Johnson.


She is survived by her husband, Wyatt Bragg, mother; Janice Lopeman, sisters; Traci Lopeman and Ruth Lopeman, children Jerad Fry and Adam Fry. Also surviving are her niece, Billie Marie Johns and nephews; Jordan Johns, Justin Lopeman, and newest grandnephew, Thunder Bear Wells. She is also survived by her aunt Bev Hawks, Uncle, Mike Krise, and numerous cousins, tribal aunties and uncles, and many friends along the way.


Funeral Services will be held on October 1, 2025. A last ride around the Casino will begin at 11:30 am at the Salish Golf Course. Memorial services to begin at Noon at the Tribal Gymnasium. The burial will be at the Squaxin Sacred Grounds at 1:00 pm with lunch following in the Community Kitchen.
