Brigitte Crabtree-Dolen

September 5, 1949 – March 30, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brigitte Crabtree-Dolen, who passed away on March 30, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1949, in Essen, Germany.

Brigitte came to the United States in 1963 following the marriage of her mother, Brunhilde Crabtree, to Martin Crabtree. From that time on, she built her life in the United States, carrying with her strength, resilience, and a deep sense of family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Sigrid Crabtree, as well as her parents, Brunhilde and Martin Crabtree and a nephew Michael Oliver Jr.

Brigitte is survived by her husband, Earl Dolen, with whom she shared many years of life and memories. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and is also survived by her children; daughter, Pamela Murphy and her husband Chris; her son, Christopher Meyer and his wife, Jessica, along with her six grandchildren Trevor, Katie, Taryn, Courtney, Cage and Cash and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were a central part of her life and brought her great pride and joy.

She was one of eight siblings and shared lifelong bonds with her brothers and sisters, Robert, Bill, Patsy, Martin, Susan, and Evelyn. Family was always an important part of her life, and those relationships remained close over the years.

Brigitte will be remembered not only for her strength and the love she shared with those around her, but also for the joy she found in her hobbies. She loved crafting and was a bit of a computer enthusiast, always curious and engaged with the world around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the family she helped build.
