Donald Zink Obituary
On Tuesday April 14, 2026, Donald Dean Zink entered eternity. To summarize his life in one sentence it could be said, “He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, he loved his family, and he never knew a stranger.”
Don Zink was born in Tacoma Washington in December of 1932 to Earl and Goldie Zink and was raised in Olympia Washington. His early years were spent running around on the mud flats of Mud Bay. Later he graduated from Olympia High School in 1951. Later that year he joined the United States Army. In 1952Don married his high school sweetheart Carol Lozier to whom he was married 41years until the time of her passing in 1994. They had three children: Brenda, Larry and Ken. Don worked for Washington State Department of Transportation soils drilling crew, retiring after 30 years.
After Carol’s death, Don found love again and married Diana Williams to whom he was married for 30 years.
Don’s favorite pastimes included being with his family, hunting, gardening, rockhounding, serving the Lord both in church and with Voice 4 Christ Ministries in Alaska and on many other short term mission trips.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Wallace, sister Donna and his first wife Carol.
Don is survived by his second wife Diana, his daughter Brenda, sons Larry and Ken and son by love Vong, 15 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.
