Steven Rice Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Rice, brother, father, grandfather and friend, who left us on September 1, 2026.
Born November 29,1954 in Shelton, Steve was a cherished son of Darrell and Vernabelle Rice who have preceded him in death.
Steve’s early years were spent in Shelton where he graduated from Shelton High School in 1974. His professional journey saw him working at Certified with other roles taking him from Shelton to Las Vegas, Lake Powell in Utah and Orcas Island in Washington then retiring in Kingston, Washington & Olympia Washington, each place becoming another home.
Steve loved boats and the water. His hobbies were shiny cars and woodworking. Storytelling of his many adventures was his favorite pastime.
Steve is survived by his daughter Alicia Rice, grandson Devin, sisters Chris Holdway, Becky Miklethun and Daralynne Fitzpatrick, nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace, dear brother.
