Obituary of Conrad Duane Saupe

Conrad “Con” Saupe Conrad Duane Saupe, 79, of Shelton went home peacefully to Jesus June 14, 2016, surrounded by family. He was born January 8, 1937 in Lidgerwood, ND to George Saupe and Velma (Kadoun). Con graduated from Shelton High School in 1954. He served seven years in the National Guard. Con was married twice before marrying Heidi Cleven on August 6, 1983 in Kendall, WI. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union, Local 1148. He worked at Certified Manufacturing before starting C&H Construction, his carpentry and construction business. He loved fishing, football, gardening, working on the property and his 1971 Ford truck, “Old Blue.” He was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, and the Moose Lodge. Con was well known for his expertise in finish work on many businesses and homes around the area. He and his wife Heidi enjoyed fishing up at Sekiu and vacationed up there at least one month each year. He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Saupe of Shelton, daughter Cindi (Saupe) Rogers of Shelton, sons Ronald Parker (Sharon) of Shelton, Cary Parker of Hawaii, Brian Parker (Susie) of Chehalis, and Bruce Parker (Molly) of North Carolina; daughters Jamey Taylor of Olympia and Kortney Saupe (Stephan Martinez) of Seattle; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 10th, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. His ashes will be spread at Seiku. Con has a cap/hat collection which will be shared at his celebration. Wear your favorite cap/hat or grab one of Cons to wear as a tribute to him.
