Obituary of Thomas Gideon Pelham
Thomas Gideon Pelham III was born September 1,1942, in Sherman Texas, to Thomas G. Pelham Jr and Virginia A. Griffin. Passed away on June 20, 2016 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia Washington.
He served in the United States Air Force for 15 plus years, which included the Vietnam War.
Among his accomplishments with the Air Force, he was assigned as a Solar Observer. He was credited by the Soviet Union's Government for spotting Solar Flares and acting quickly enough to have the Soviet Union's Cosmonauts move to safety.
He never stopped giving of himself to family and friends, the loss of such a great man is felt by all who knew him.
He is survived by his 2 brothers, Terry and Robby Freeman of Florida, his son
Thomas G. Pelham IV, 3 grandsons, Thomas G. Pelham V, Paul A. Pelham, and
Christopher L. Pelham and 3 great grandchildren, Nika, Tristian, and Niko.
He will be interned July 8, 2016 at Tahoma National Cemetery, in Kent Washington.
