Obituary of Theresa Ann Dishon

Theresa Ann Smith Dishon Left this earth for a place of peace on July 24, 2016. Theresa was born September 8, 1952 in Shelton to Jim and Betty Smith. She graduated from Shelton High in 1970. She was married to John Dishon. Together they managed apartment complexes in Olympia, Oregon and Texas. She later moved to Forest Grove, Oregon to be near her mother. Theresa was a free spirit, independent and proud of her "hippie heritage". She had a beautiful heart and amazing spirit. She will be forever loved. She handled her illness with grace, courage and humor with her family be her side. The family wished to thank caregiver Mary Smith, the staff of Marquis Care of Forest Grove, and Hospice nurse Becca for their compassionate care of Theresa., Theresa is survived by her mother of Aloha Oregon, her sister Judy (Tom) Thompson of Olympia and brother Perry Smith of California and numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was interned in Shelton Memorial Park. She was proceeded in death by her father and sister Gail Smith Loughrey . Her family was in attendance. Theresa was born on September 8, 1952 in Shelton, Washington to James (Jim) and Betty Smith. She graduated from Shelton High School. She married John Dishon also residing in Shelton Washington, but the couple separated in 2008. Her favorite job was managing apartment complexes which allowed her to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest and in the San Antonio Texas areas. In the last years of her life, Theresa moved to Oregon to be closer to her mother. Theresa was a passionate about many things she got her hands on, pricing antiques, making jewelry, dancing to music. Theresa was known for her generosity and kindness and was loved by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Betty Smith of Aloha, Oregon, sister Judy Thompson of Olympia, Washington, brother Perry Smith of Beaverton, Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was interned in a private graveside ceremony on August 3, 2016 in Shelton Memorial Park, Shelton, Washington.
