Obituary of Ruby Ruth Berg

Ruby Ruth Berg, 65, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family, August 27, 2016. Ruby was born in Eureka, South Dakota March 29, 1951, to Herbert and Ruth ( Mohr) Boschee. In 1955 the family moved from the farm to Deadwood, South Dakota, where Herbert worked for Homesteak gold mine until 1966 when the family moved to Seattle with Ruby’s four sisters and two brothers. She graduated from Evergreen High School and married Douglas Berg September 27, 1968. Ruby worked for Washington Mutual Savings Bank for 18 years at the main branch, Renton, and Olympia branches. In 1998 she earned her certification in massage therapy, opening Caring Touch Massage where she enjoyed caring for her clients until she was forced to retire in December 2014. All of her clients were also her friends. Being the oldest of seven kids, Ruby enjoyed hosting get to gathers at their Spencer Lake home. Everyone was always welcome and good times were had by all. She loved gardening and had a special relationship with all of her plants, which her son Brad has inherited. She liked camping and hiking and trips to Yuma, Az, and South Dakota meeting friends and relatives on the way. September 2014 she skydived with her sons Richard and Brad and in October went hot air ballooning in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband of 47years Douglas Berg, two sons Richard and Bradley (Lechelle), four sisters, Karen Green (Phil), Lorna (Kieth) Dohrman, Vickie (Dennis) Prellwitz, Sheryl Boschee, two brothers Harlan (Trina) and Dean Boschee. Suite L-105, Kent, Wa 98032-2110 Memorial service will be held at Mt View Alliance Church, 314 E J St, Shelton Wa 98584, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 12:00 Noon.
