Jennifer Jones

Obituary of Jennifer Elizabeth Jones

Our beloved Jennifer Elizabeth Jones has gone to be with the Lord on September 7, 2016. Jennifer was born on December 26, 1958 to Richard Lloyd Jones and Sharon Gayle (Smith) Jones, in Portland, OR. She was given her middle name after her grandmother. Jennifer was the second of five children and was an adventurous child who was not afraid to get dirty. She loved to tell stories of her childhood. She grew up in Port Orchard,WA and lived in WA most of her life. Jennifer was preceded in death by her baby son Bryan Richard Jones, her mother Sharon, her sister Gina Grant, and her brother Brett Jones. Jennifer is survived by her father, Richard Jones, her sisters Jodee (Jones) West and Georgia (Jones) Rose, her three children, Kevin Jones, Michelle (Terry) Grossman, and Lisa (Terry) Nevarez. She also survived by two step-children by a previous husband, Sarah (Murphy) Sproston and Nathan Murphy. She has left behind six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren who she was always there for and loved to spend time with. They all miss her dearly and will continue to keep her precious memories alive. Jennifer was an amazingly giving person, always putting others before herself. She was known to be a woman that always made even those she didn’t know feel welcome and a part of whatever was going on. No matter how many times someone hurt her, she could never keep a grudge. She always ended up forgiving. Jennifer went to school and earned certificates as a CNA, RNA, and a Med-Tech. She was a Caregiver to the elderly and passionate about caring for her patients in a loving way. She found humor even in the worst of situations at work and in her private life. She didn’t want people to feel inadequate, alone, or scared. She loved to make people laugh and had a unique personality that can never be replaced. Jennifer’s main goal in life was to be there for her children, grandchildren, and father. She was a best friend and cheerleader to them. The pain of her loss is deep, but the comfort of knowing that she is no longer in pain and the joy of her memories bring healing. Jennifer loved the beach and always said that she had salt water in her veins. She didn’t want to be mourned. It was her desire to be cremated and her ashes spread somewhere beautiful by her children. Jennifer’s wishes were that we do not have a funeral, but she loved family BBQs. Her close family will be privately granting those desires in celebration of her life.
