Obituary of Robert Lee Everson
Robert Lee Everson, age 45, passed away on Sept. 29, 2016 in Elma, Wash. Rob was born Dec. 4, 1970, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Walter and Sandra (Buchanan) Everson. He was raised in south “Monte,” the youngest of five brothers. After graduating from Montesano High School in 1989, he acquired his AA degree in business administration from Grays Harbor College. He started working at Vaughan Company in 1994 doing clean-up work. In 1996 he became the painter. He worked there until illness forced his retirement.
Rob married Danielle Boulanger in 1998. They loved the outdoors, road trips, climbing mountains, hiking, camping and exploring national parks whenever possible. Rob also loved fast jets, and frequented many airshows. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast. Especially soccer in his youth, playing basketball several times a week as an adult, and he never missed a Seahawks game regardless of later health challenges. Rob was a good man, he would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar if you needed it. He never complained, not even when he was sick and had every right to. He loved a good joke, he was cracking jokes right up until the end. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sandra, and brother Chuck. He is survived by his wife Danielle, three cats, Big Rooster and Missy; father Walter and stepmother Jean; brothers Allen (Deanna) and Randy, Brad (Marianna); aunt and uncle Patt and Gary Cornwell and uncle and aunt Chuck and Betty Everson; his grandmother Dora Butterfield; many cousins, nephews, nieces and family and friends.
There will be a potluck celebration of his life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Olympic View Grange in Brady, Wash. Wear your Seahawks gear if you have it. Cremation arrangements were handled by McComb and Wagner Mortuary. You can view a memorial slideshow and leave a message for the family at www.mccombwagner.com.
