Obituary of Laura Jean Baker Brown Ogden

Laura Jean Baker Brown Ogden, 88, of Shelton, a lifetime resident, died at her home November 23rd. She was born March 1, 1928 in Shelton to Charles H. Baker & Alma E (Bennett) Baker. Jean graduated from Irene s. Reed in Class of '46 and attended Western Teachers College. She was married to Joe Brown Sr. March 1947, until his death in 1978, and to Bob Ogden in 1981, until his death in 1998. She worked as Executive Secretary for the State of Washington and thereafter for the State of Alaska. Jean loved to laugh and have fun, she had great times fishing, traveling, camping, playing cards, going dancing and donating moderately but regularly to her favorite casinos. She is survived by her son, Joe Brown Jr. of Malone; daughter, Barbara Cloin of Shelton; daughter Beverly Cross of Shelton; son Charles Brown of Shelton; and daughter, Jan Pfundheller of Pasco. She was preceded in death by her son Frank Brown. She was stepmom to Mike & Robyn Ogden. She is survived by 80 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday, December 6 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church on “C” Street in Shelton at 11 am.
