We were shocked to read of Bobs passing and can not say enough to all his family and friends of how much he will be missed by you . Our deepest sympathy to you all ---
Memories ? Good times ? We have many - here are a few --
Softball --- there are many but here is one -We managed to get into the Championship Game at a big Softball Tournament in Mt. Vernon several years back and we wound up tied at the end of scheduled play - They instituted what is called a Kansas City Tiebreaker for the next inning whereby teams place the last out of the previous inning on 2nd base when you bat - being a Co-ed tournament you actually get 2 people if the last out was a guy - We were the visiting team and our previous last out was Jud - Bob is up next and hit a line drive rocket off the top of the fence in right center field - he wound up on 3rd - we scored 5 and Won the tourney !
Camping --- again many but here is one --- Good ol Mason Lake --- Bob was working on the carbuerator of Cookies boat as it was not running well - I believe the filter was partially clogged and he had the whole top off the carb to clean the internal parts of it as well using a coffee can of gas while onboard at the dock - I didn't get to actually see this happen but when I came back from the Marina - Bob was soaking wet missing his eyebrows and the hair on his arms - seems somehow the cleaning can was ignited and Bob grabbed it and bailed over the side of the boat into the lake with the flaming can while still managing to put the fire out on the boat and not loose a single part of the carb in the process - his face was pretty red too for more than one reason !!
Friendship -- lots of these too -- he would always help anybody out anytime --
here is one -- I was laid up with a cast on one leg from the Femur to my Ankle and this Motorcycle I had my eyeballs on for quite awhile came up for sale -- I had to have it and Bob was good enough to break his schedule and go with me to pick it up -
I will never forget looking in my mirror seeing Bobs smiling face behind riding my motorcycle home for me !
We will Miss You Bob
Rest in Peace
Ken , Judy , Ryan, Marty
