In loving Memory of
Tara Marie Abernathy (Hislop)
September 22, 1984 – January 24, 2017
Tara was born on September 22, 1984 in Seattle Washington to Terry and Tina Hislop.
She graduated from White River High School in 2003 and graduated from Bryman College in 2005 with her Pharmacy Technician Certification. She recently graduated from Pima Medical Institute with an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and was moving on to her Bachelor’s degree. She worked for Washington State Department of Corrections in their pharmacy department for 8 years and was promoted just recently as a Management Analyst III.
Tara’s interests included crafting, reading, music, traveling, watching her Seahawk's, and spending time with family and friends. Her niece, Eliza Mae, was the love of her life. Every moment she had she would devote her time with Eliza and her family.
Tara had a talent with wood crafts in which started a side business in 2016 called, My Signature Signery. Her craftsmanship with wood became such an art, not only did she create home decoration pieces, she began creating extraordinary furniture and frames.
She was the most kind, loving woman and her smile and adorable giggles enlightened us all.
Tara is survived by her parents, Terry and Tina Hislop; two brothers, TJ Hufstetler and family, and Nicholas Hislop; two sisters, Melody Rogers and family, and Brianna Hislop and daughter; Grandfather, Deane Hislop, Sr; and Grandmother, MaryAnne Lay.
