I lived with Aunt Helen and Uncle Cecil for two years after Cecil retired. They traveled a lot in their motorhome and I took care of their home while they were away. It was a tough time in my life after a divorce and I welcomed the unconditional acceptance and caring they gave me. As well as a safe place where I was loved and I could heal. Growing up and visiting them I loved feeling welcome and never judged. In the more recent years, Melissa and I enjoyed visiting her and were impressed by Helen's sharp memory and the stories she would share about friends, my parents, and lots of family history. I will miss those stories and feel blessed I had such a great Aunt. I wish all concerned happy memories. Love, Floyd
I too will miss those wonderful visits with Aunt Hellen that were fun and full of great stories, about life well lived, whenever Floyd and I were in Washington state. I send my warmest heart felt wishes to her family many of whom I also have had the pleasure of getting to know over the years. She was a blessing and I will miss her. Love, Melissa

Have many beautiful memories of times spent with Aunt Helen and Uncle Cecil. When I was a little girl and rode a train to Pasco to stay for couple of weeks with them, Floyd's wedding in Escondido, Ca., where all of us did the Hustle on the dance floor. Barbecue's at their home in Tenino with lots of family enjoying a day of games, food, sharing and creating great memories. On top of that was many great times at Tokeland, North Cove and good old 'Wash Out Beach' on the Washington coast. So many memories that will never be forgotten. Someone once said to me that the scariest thing to him about passing was to be gone and possibly forgotten. I can truthfully say that I don't believe that happens when we create memories ...they live on with each of us.
