Dear Barbara. Kim and Kiki:
I did not know of Grants passing until this week when i found Grants book REPORTED TO BE ALIVE as i was going through many books in preparation of preparing my house to sell. I have begun to reread it.
I'm sorry that somehow we stopped visiting each other years ago. Bill and i divorced in 1982. He passed away in 1997 from cancer.
I am glad that i knew you and enjoyed the many times we had together at the property on Lurgan road..i loved your dogs.. and on our sailing expedition in the virgin islands.
I hope you have had successful lives. I' m sure you miss Grant. He was a great man!
Much love, Carole Ziegler 9.5.23

I think of Grant often. He and I developed a friendship during my time in Shelton, Wash. I have a copy of "Reported to be alive," that when I read, I can hear Grant's voice as if he was telling me the story. In life, if your lucky, you have the fortune to meet someone as kind and wise as Grant.

I remember Mr. Wolfkill and Barbara bringing Kim and Kiki to summer parks tennis lessons in the mid-70's. I don't remember what kind of car he was driving but I remember it was the coolest car in Shelton! I also enjoyed his book, Reported to be Alive.

I was able to meet and visit Mr. Wolfkill several years ago and as a Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam in1964-1965 was very interested in his life story and had read his book. I was able to take him flying from Shelton Airport and fly him to lunch and show him the local area. He was probably in his late 70s or early 80s and was as enthusiastic as a 35 to 40 year old. He really enjoyed life and obviously lived it to the fullest. What a great Man.
I'm sorry for your loss but so happy to have known him.
