I want to say if first of that my dad was a good man. He worked all his life, that is until he reached his retirement age, but that to me is all your life. He had 7 children , buried one at the age of 2 and another at the age of 17, and learned of his daughters death one day before his own. I can't imagine what that done to him inside. He provided for his family and although there were many of us we never seemed to do without. We had all the frills that other kids had, so in a way I always thought we were somewhat well to- do, but now looking back he just made it possible by doing without for us to have these things. He served his country, he was a loyal and faithful husband, and yes he was strict, and even though we feared him because he meant business when he told us something we still pushed it and yes got mixed up in the wrong things. And it broke my heart to learn that all my dad wanted to know was what did he do wrong as a father for us to do those wrong things and mess up our lives at times. I wish he didn't die thinking he failed me because he didn't. And if there is a heaven and hell can hear me please know you were a good dad and I regret deeply that I never told you that. I love you dad love Ericka (Alley Cat)
