I loved you as though you were my own mother and when we first met you never hesitated for a moment to treat my two boys and me as though we were your own daughter and grand children. My boys took to you right away and began calling you "Grandma Carolyn." It has always been and still is a long time regret of mine to have left... and I can't begin to describe the feeling (after all these years) when I walked in and you pointed at me and called me by name and remembered my boys. It breaks my heart that you are gone and that we did not spend more time with you. You were such a wonderful person, woman, mother, grandmother, friend, you have touched so many, that you, and your spirit will be shared with generations to come. Happy reunion with that singing cowboy on the long happy trail. To the entire family: I am so sorry for your loss and thank you so much for welcoming me into your worlds.

Mama, you may have been my mama by marriage, but you treated me like one of you own.
We have some great memories together; you always made sure everyone had plenty to eat whether they were hungry or not. You could make the most basic meal taste better by adding a little dab of butter or some seasoning.
I treasure our times; your cooking secrets, your lovingly crocheted family heirlooms, our days of watching "All My Children", going shopping or on other fun adventures.
I kiss your great grandchildren on the forehead, won't say "goodbye" or hung up the phone on the caller because you wouldn't.
Thank you, mama, for all you've done for your family. We are better people because of all you've done. I will always love you and miss you dearly.

I love you momma ! I know you will always be here with us, you would never leave all your kids, I'll bet you kiss our foreheads while we are sleeping. You are eternal, forever close to those who love you.
I will never forget you, thank you for always watching over me. You're an awesome momma. I love you. - Bryan :heart::heart:

Grandma was always someone you could lean on. She would feed you until you were full even if you didn't want to eat lol. She had a no nonsense attitude but also was the most loving and caring person I've ever known. Now who's gonna make the popcorn balls at Halloween? I love you grandma and miss you so very much. I hope you are partying and laughing with Barbara and all the loved ones you have been missing for so long.

What I would give to see you one more time. I will forever cherish every moment we shared. You were truly my best friend Grandma. Your my momma. You helped raise me. How do I fill this void? I want to walk through the door & hear you say hello. I just want a kiss. A hug. I want to share so much with you. I want Rainey to have you still. She loved seeing you. A piece of my heart has gone with you. I love you so much.

I was going through some photo albums looking at old memories. I found this photo dated July 3rd 1993. I couldn't help, but smile at all the happy memories of the family gatherings and days spent together during summer visits.
Little great grandma you always called my dad your Chippendale. We would day dream of cruisin' down the road headed to an Ozzy concert, pickin' up guys, drinking beer and going to casinos.
I'll miss you!
Love,
Amanda
