I am sad to hear of Gary's passing. We worked together for a couple of decades and he was always up-beat, cheerful and happy. I will always remember his wonderful smile and laugh. He was a great public servant who always had the interests of the people at hearth. He was a regular at the WAPA meetings and we had lots of fun memories from Chelan. Rest in peace friend.

I cannot pin my thoughts to one interaction, rather my joy and sense of fondness from Gary comes from so many interactions over decades. He was intelligent and spot on with his responses. He engaged when he felt it necessary, usually sitting back and letting the discussion progress, and if progressing correctly, did not way in unnecessarily. We laughed many times over a good beer and a meal. Occasionally got to goof off together on a golf course. He was a smart man, a funny man, and a very good man who I have missed in our meetings.
