Dickie was such a kind and generous person. I grew up in Shelton and remember him being a hard worker when I was younger. It was quite a pleasure to know him. I worked at EVG as a bilingual para professional and he was always So friendly and always said good morning or hello. I moved back in 2011 and I brought my children to raise them here. I was on my own with 2 boys under 5 years old and he brought me a T.V. for my apartament. He had BBQs at his house and invited me and my boys over for dinner and to play pool or watch movies at times. He helped me many times, especially when it snowed one year really bad we stay over to keep warm at his house. Dickie also introduced me to the love of my life and father to my two youngest children. I am proud that he did get to meet my youngest son Javier, who happen to visit him recently at his house. He was and is truly a wonderful friend and I wish his family well and send hugs from me and my family.
