Obituary of William Dean Teeter

WILLIAM DEAN TEETER Born August 8, 1925 Passed January 26, 2014 William ( Bill ) Teeter was born in El Dorado, KS to William Clayton Teeter and Lorah Essie Robertson. Who precede him along with a sister Lesola and a great granddaughter Marty Jo Thompson. He is survived by his wife Mable Dene Teeter of 68 years, two sisters Sara Hogland of Baltimore, MD, Marge Kelly of San Diego, CA, four children and their spouses : Nannette Winkelman ( Doug ) Elgin OR, Reggie Teeter ( Paula ) Inman, KS, John Teeter Shelton, WA and Rebecca Pinord ( Dave ) Shelton, WA. He has 9 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. William joined the USCG in 1942 where he served as a Signalman. After service he went on to work in the field for PG&E, a janitorial service, and for the aircraft industry. He then went on to work as a fireman and EMT for the Boeing company where he retired after 30 years of service. William was an all around handy man who also had a love for sports and golf. He and his wife served as missionaries for the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in CA, they also served in the Grays harbor county area, he was the Bishop of the Monroe branch of the church. William and his wife were involved as historians for the Grays Harbor Gulls baseball organization. He also was a active member of the Pacific County Red Cross as well as the Coast Guard historical Society. Services for William will be held on Saturday February 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Shelton, WA. He will be laid to rest at Fern Hill Cemetery in Menlo, WA Pacific county.
