Obituary of Thomas Charles Heath
Thomas C. Heath (Tom) passed away at home on Sunday, October 15, 2017. He was born in Washington D.C. to Charles H and Evelyn Heath.
Tom graduated from Suitland High School, Suitland Maryland. He joined the Navy Reserve and served active duty on the USS Independence, Nov. 1959 to Nov 1961 on its inaugural cruise to the Mediterranean. Tom owned his own TV repair shop and in the 70s. He became a Union Ironworker. He retired from Local 29, Portland OR, in 2005.
Tom married Arline Norby-Bronson in 1981 and they traveled to Florida where they resided till 1997. They then moved back to the Northwest to be closer to family.
Tom enjoyed reading books, especially history (medieval) and novels. He loved playing his guitar, and doing crossword puzzles. He was an avid Mariners and Seahawks fan. He loved watching Florida State football games too.
Tom is survived by his wife Arline, brother Robert, a son Richard (Catherine) Heath, a grandson Brandon Mistisshen, an aunt Georgia Mae South, cousin Brenda (David) Smith, Dianne Davis. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and uncles and his sister Ray(Cal) Thomas.
Tom you were gone before we knew it, only God knows why. In life we loved you dearly; in death we love you still. It broke my heart to lose you but you didn’t go alone, a part of my heart went with you, the day God took you home.
