Obituary of Donald Ray Proctor
Donald Proctor, of Allyn, WA, age 74, passed away on October 26th at home after losing his battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born on May 15, 1943 to Helen and Raymond Proctor in Aiken, South Carolina. He moved to Augusta, Georgia as a child and graduated from high school in 1960. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force and served four years. He graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Don was married to Jerri (Kucera) for 49 years until her passing in 2013. He was then fortunate to find another love, Sandra (Hennigar), who he married in October 2014. Don was employed by The Boeing Company in Auburn until his retirement in 2001.
Don enjoyed boating especially on his boat “Bullship II”. He also enjoyed golf, traveling, and cheering on the Seahawks and Huskies!
In addition to his wife Sandra, of the family home, Don is survived by son Mike Proctor of Tacoma, daughter Jody Finnegan of Bellingham, his beloved granddaughter Kayleigh Finnegan, step-son Chris Hennigar of Satsop, step-daughter Melissa (Paul) Fritts of Aberdeen, and 5 step-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Eleanor (Robert) Cook of Texas, Vonda Clerc of South Carolina and brother Tommy (Dianne) Lamb of Georgia and other family and friends.
A Celebration of Don’s Life is planned for Saturday, November 18 at 2 pm at the Lakeland Village Club House in Allyn.
