Obituary of Gloria Jean Heiret

Gloria Jean Heiret Passed away on January 16, 2018, at her home in Shelton, WA. surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded by her husband of 63 years John Heiret and daughter Susan Shaffran. Gloria was born on July 6, 1931, in Granite Falls, WA. A devoted sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Known as 'Jean' her entire life she moved to Everett, WA at the age of 16. In 1948 Jean met the love of her life John Heiret and the two were married later that year on October 9, 1948. She belonged to Eastern Star, Daughters of Norway and was an avid bowler with the Daughters. Jean was employed by Scott's paper, K-Mart and at one time owned her own antique shop before landing at G.T.E where she would stay for the next 20 years until retirement. Jean and John moved to their dream home on the waterfront at Libby Point in Shelton, WA. in 1994 and had many wonderful years together until John's death in 2011. During this time Jean enjoyed all kinds of different activities such as gardening, reading, sewing, baking, canning, and puzzle working. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons. She enjoyed watching them put on the annual spectacular 4th of July fireworks show and was quite the card player. Jean leaves a plethora of grieving family and friends including daughter Karen Crawford, husband Sid, grandsons Marc and Matthew, Great grandson Cole, brothers Mike Mizell, Murray Moen, Mannie Christensen, sisters Sue Copeland, Ruth Johnson and many more. The family would like to thank Assured hospice Olympia for their tender loving care for Jean and support to the family.
