Obituary of James R Mullins

A Letter from Heaven When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not here to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, While thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, And each time you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart. Jim, known as GrandPa to his family was a man of great compassion to people in need. For anyone in need of understanding, in need of an ear, friendship or advice (sometimes when you really didn't want to listen). Jim touched many people in his life, with his 41 years in AA, with his volunteer service at the food bank in Shelton, Washington, as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Jim and Ann had a goal during their years at Hughes Aircraft. That is "RETIRE AT 55". They were focused and their dream was realized on June 1st 1988. At age 55, they said goodbye to their colleagues and took off on their dream in a motor home, affectionately called Mabel . They traveled the country for 18 months on an adventure of a lifetime. Jim's legacy is evident in the lives he has touched with his love of all people, his understanding without prejudice and the family that loved him. A celebration of life will be held at Christmas Village Clubhouse from 3-6pm on Sunday, March 9th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Saints Pantry Food Bank in Shelton, WA.
