Losing you was so painful mom and I wish there was anything I could have done to stop you from leaving us so soon. Even though I know life must go on I still miss you deeply and wish you were still here. Every time I look at your photos I am reminded of the loss your death brought to all of us. Joan was my oldest sister... she loved life, loved beautiful things, loved her husband, her children, her family. She was giving to a fault, always putting everyone’s needs above her own. She had a fun sense of humor with a mischievous giggle and laugh to follow. Just like my dad she had a twinkle in her eye.... I’m going to miss that twinkle and those laughs.
