Obituary of Cecil James Crow
Cecil James Crow was born Nov 3, 1928 to Stella and Howard Crow, in Wyandotte, OK. He passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 15th. His family moved to the Northwest to be near Stella’s family. He attended Shelton High School where he met the love of his life, Pat Hart. After graduation, he went to work for ITT Rayonier and later Simpson Timber, where he remained employed for around 30 years as a supervisor. After retiring from Simpson, he enjoyed a second (20 year) career in the Christmas Tree Industry. Cecil also served 17 years in the Washington National Guard.
Cecil and Pat were faithful members of Shelton First Baptist Church where they were married June 30, 1950. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, time in their motorhome, vacationing with friends, cruising on his lawnmower, but most of all time spent at Island Lake with his family.
Pat and Cec had 3 daughters; Cindy Lewis, Diane Stock, and Julie (dec). They felt their family was incomplete, so they adopted Martin in 1968, who quickly became his fishing and hunting buddy. Cecil never met a stranger, was generous with his time and resources, and was proud of his family.
He is survived by his precious wife Pat, 3 children: Cindy (John) Lewis, Diane (Fred) Stock, Marty (Michele) Crow; 5 Grandchildren: Shawn (Carmen) Williams, Connor Stock, Karyn Stock, Zack Crow, Madison Crow; 2 great grandchildren: Caleb Williams, Carter Williams, a brother Greg Hargett (Olympia), and sisters Ilene DeBoer (CA) and Beverly Collins (CA).
