Obituary of Walter A Poplawski
Walt was born and raised in Chicago and a Bears fan to the end. He was a retired Air Force Veteran who fought in the Korean War and had many awards for his years of service. Survived by his three children, Doris Zacher (husband Gerry), Andy Poplawski (wife Linda), and Kent Poplawski (wife Josie), with 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and lastly, Lord Ashleigh II, his beloved companion dog. He made his last home in Shelton, WA to be close to his children and grandchildren. Be free to get up and walk again Pop! A memorial service will be held on March 26 starting at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Edward Catholic Church in Shelton, WA. His final resting place will be at Saint Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, Illinois, next to his family and late wife June.
