Obituary of Clarice Opal Parr
Longtime Bremerton resident Clarice O. Parr died Monday, October 8, 2018, at Fir Lane Health & Rehab in Shelton.
Clarice was born June 13, 1925, in Bremerton to Clyde and Myrtie (Russell) Mosbarger. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1944 and married Charles S. Parr March 27, 1947. After working briefly at Sears and in the Navy Yard, she chose to stay home and focus on raising her family.
Clarice was a longtime member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and for many years was active in PTA in various local schools and the Bremerton Counsel, which presented her with its Golden Acorn Award for dedicated service to children and youth.
Survivors include three sons, Sheldon and Marshall, both of Bremerton, and Darryl, of Springfield, Illinois; two grandsons, Charles and Brandon, both of Bremerton; and eight nieces and nephews.
Clarice was predeceased by her parents, brother Earl (Bud) Mosbarger and sister Bea Price, and infant brother William (Billy).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1,at First Christian Church, 811 Veneta Ave., Bremerton, WA 98337. Memorials may be made to the church.
