Obituary of Theresa Deberry
It seemeth such a little way to me
Across to that strange country, The Beyond;
And yet, for it has grown to be
The home of those of whom I am so fond.
And so for me there is no death;
It is but crossing, with abated breath,
A little strip of sea,
To find one’s loved ones waiting on the shore
More beautiful, more precious than before.
How blessed is the tie that binds
Our hearts in lasting love,
The comradeship of kindred minds
Is like to that above.
So when at last we have to part
In sorrow and in pain,
We know we still are
Joined in heart
Until we meet again.
