I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Abe this morning from a friend of his at the Olympic Mile Gym in Port Orchard. I remember him years ago being in our "dance" exercise class. We would do this Latin dance which Jen would teach and she would hand out these brightly colored scarves and when we were dancing we would be waving them all over the place. Abe had so much fun doing that. I was amazed at how well he kept up in those classes, as i am 26 years younger than he was and I could barely keep up with him and I consider myself in good health and decent shape. Anyway, he was such a kind, friendly and thoughtful man. Everyone at the gym, no matter what their age loved Abe. When he had to move to be with his son, we missed him terribly. We were excited when he came to visit the gym once in awhile after the move. Please know that he will be missed so much and his family are in our prayers and thoughts. Warmly, Vicki Yoder

Abe was a long-timer at our Senior Sneakers sessions, 24-Hour Fitness, Olympia.
With his efforts, even when he was visibly not well, he inspired the 'younger set' to get with it. We've all lost a dear friend. One suspects he will continue, from a greater
height, to urge us on.
