Although I didn’t know Marvin personally, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. In this time of grief, being surrounded by those you love can be a real comfort and a blessing to you. However, we can additionally gain a real comfort from the Scriptures in that in the first place, we can be assured that our dead loved ones are not suffering in any way. It is written in the Bible, “The dead know nothing�, and their “thoughts perish�. Yes, the Bible likens death to peaceful sleep. So, what future is held out for Marvin and countless other dead? The Holy Writings go on to tell us that soon all the dead in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus’ voice and will come out of their graves. Tears of joy will certainly flow when those in the grave will come to life right here on earth! The Bible goes on to relate that God “will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more�. It is my hope that you will find comfort in my comdolence.
