Duane was my father. There were only two children and I Susan am the oldest. Duane was a devoted husband to wife Connie, especially during her last year with us. After she passed Duane softened up and was able to share more with us children. My husband and I visited Duane about every two weeks. It was during these times he shared more of his feelings and his general life issues. Duane had colon cancer when he passed and kept that from us kids as he did not want us to worry. We will be taking his ashes as well as our mom's and their loving loyal companion Barney out to the middle of the Pacific Ocean where they were happiest.
