Obituary of Vincent James Ennaro

Vincent James Ennaro, 89, of Belfair, WA passed away on May 24, 2014. He was born in Seattle on Oct 25, 1924; graduated from Franklin H. S. and immediately enlisted in the Navy serving in WWII on Guam. On September 23, 1950, Jim married the love of his life, Marie Thomas. He retired from the U. S. Navy Air Squadron VP 69 and Navy reserves after 36 years. He retired after 34 years with Pan American Airways as a radio mechanic He spent 4 years with Pan Am in the Techinal Assistant Program, training Ariana Afghan Airlines mechanics and radio technicians in Afghanistan. Jim enjoyed oyster and clam farming at their home on Hood Canal taking great pleasure in introducing fiddler crab races and oyster shucking to grand and great-grand children, nieces and nephews. He was actively involved in all of Marie’s Garden Club events and was a Life member of American Legion. Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie, sons Christopher, Joseph and wife Susan, daughter Susan and husband Jim, brother Frank, grandchildren Marnie, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, and Lisa, great-grand children Aaron, Benjamin, Nathan, Hannah, Damian, Teagan, many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Jim is preceded in death by brother Richard, and sister Mary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to ARC https://www.thearc.org/donate.
