I am so grateful to have had Betty in my life while growing up. Her character, laughter and love set a standard for me that has lasted a lifetime.
Of the many memories I have about Betty, is one of about twenty years ago when I came home to visit the family. I was about 40, Betty about 75yrs. While standing on the deck, I noticed Betty was mowing the lawn....barefoot...with a power mower! I yelled over to her, "...Betty, shouldn't you have some boots on?" Without skipping a step, she yelled over her shoulder; "....mind your own business, Bruce!" and kept right on mowing. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I stopped bye to visit after she was done and we had many laughs over this, and many other stories.
My deepest condolences to you all: Dwaine, Richard, Noreen and Jannette and to all Betty's family and friends. She was a giant among us; respected and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. I was lucky enough to be one. Hugs to all: Bruce
