I remember when I was 14 and my girl friend and I flew to Oxnard, where Jim was stationed and of course Diana and Michelle lived.
We went to Tijuana and these guys would come up to us girls and then see Jim and turn and go away. ONE look from him and they knew we were off limits lol.
(same year Michelle tried ever so fresh, escargot)

He was a major part of my childhood. Every child should know a man that Jim was. I looked up to him like a child does their own father. He will be dearly missed.

My Condolences to the Children and Family of Jim Waltenberg. I fondly remember him for helping give my Dog a Wonderful Funeral. I will always remember him and the good he had in him. He sure loved his children and i know they will miss him forever. If there is a Memorial Service please let me know.
