I remember you, Henry, when you were young, in your twenties. You would look in the mirror, pat your hair and say,"I'm a handsome dog." and just laugh like crazy. RIP!

There were so many times Henry and I went star gazing. I met Henry in the early 1970's at a Tacoma Astronomical Society meeting. He had a bushy blond beard to match his blond hair. He was a very quiet guy who's knowledge of the night time sky was incredible. When the rest of us were talking about Messier objects Henry was talking about NGC objects. He had built his own telescope, a 5" refractor. Somehow, he and I became friends and he taught me so much about the night sky. He had that same love of the night sky as I did. I believe it was about a year ago that Henry and I went to observe down by his home. As we both set up our scopes, we noticed the sky was fair but the mosquito's were very hungry. After a couple hours observing (familiar sky objects) we noted how each of us were outnumbered by the bugs and had to throw in the towel. There are so many stories! A few years ago Henry and I went to the Oregon Star Party. What was normally a great place to observe, we got into a fierce storm. I had rented a trailer and the wind was so high it blew both ends out of the trailer! Henry and I were sitting in a wind tunnel with ferocious rain coming through. Henry did what he often did and lit up a cigarette. He was unfazed! We were soaked and I was worried about our scopes being blown over. The storm came on so fast we were not able to take them down! Well, just one of several (not so humorous at the time) stories we could share and laugh about.
Henry and Priscilla were a wonderful match. Poor Priscilla, most of the time the two of them had me as a third wheel! Those were great times.
I want to say that Henry was really kind and generous. And he was a brother that looked after me. God bless him and show him the light. He is greatly missed.
