Not sure if Gary and Ted remember me but my name is gary yando and my wife is Liz Yando. I coached Ted in babe ruth baseball for the McDonalds Team out of Elma. We have not had much contact with the family since we left for texas in the 80's but have been back in Washington since the 90's. I am happy to say that Kay was a great person to know. I used to go over and have a cup of coffee now and then and she would always be there with a smile and a happy greeting. It is my intent and that of my wife to be there for the memorial on March 9. Our prayers are with the family and we look forward to seeing Ted and the family. I remember the time that Kay found out that I was letting the ballplayers listen to the George Carlin tape. What can I say. She will be misse.
