Del Nipper was one of my closest friends in life. Though I was two years ahead of him in school, we spend many hours tubing the Deschutes River, playing fastpitch softball, walking and "skimboarding" on Copalis Beach, double-dating, and just hanging out. I only saw him a couple times the few years before he passed away, but the memories of our youth are still vivid. The surety of resurrection through Christ, and the hope of exaltation via His atonement mean that we will meet again. I miss you, Del. Your friendship was (and will be) precious to me.

I played little league baseball with Del back in the early "60's, about like the 3rd or 4th grade it seems, at McKinley Grade School. Del was a great catcher and a nice person. I threw him a lot of pitches - he could make a throw to any base lightning fast. I am sorry that you left the game of life so soon, Del, but I thank you for these few, but great childhood memories - Buddy Porter

I am in total shock as to the sudden death of Del. I talked to a co worker and had not heard the sad news. I worked with Del at PSNS and we drove fork lift together. I had talked to Del just before the Cova-19 started and had a great conversation as always. He was a great guy and a real straight shooter. We shared stories of fishing together. I pray for his wife and family as he was really a great friend and will be missed. RIP Del. Mike Zdilar
