Obituary of Ellen Marie Julian

On Thursday, May 7, 2020 Ellen Marie Julian, loving wife, and mother of two sons, passed away at the age of 68. Ellen was born on January 19, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Eugene and Marie Kendrick. She was raised in Northern California, with her three brothers and younger sister. Ellen was baptized in the Church of Christ. She met her soul mate Joseph Julian at McClellan AFB bowling alley one afternoon in 1967. Joe spent every free moment he had with Ellen and her family. They stole each other's hearts during that time. Joe recalls Ellen's parents receiving him as their son. He was far from his family and they accepted him into theirs. Joe and Ellen were married on December 28, 1967. They spent the next 13 years growing up together and enjoying their time with one another. They had two sons, Aaron James, and Brian Joseph, both born in California. They built a life together and were happily married for 52 years. Joe remembers the wonderful wife she was, and has always known that marrying Ellen was his best decision. Ellen put her heart and soul into raising her sons and being the wonderful wife and mother her husband and children remember. She adored supporting the interests of her sons and husband, and is known for how deeply she loved each of them. Ellen worked in retail management for many years. As a family they lived on both sides of the country and after her husband retired, they moved to Shelton, Washington in 2001. Ellen volunteered with the Red Hat Society and Optimist Club of Shelton for many years, helping to plan fundraisers that supported the community. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, caring for her pets, and loved listening to her husband sing. She spent lots of time with her in-laws, celebrating holidays, weddings, and birthdays. Ellen built deep relationships with her sisters in law Judith, Armi, Nini and her younger sister Sandy. She loved to laugh and they remember how she carried herself with grace. They enjoyed their time with her immensely. Ellen is survived by her husband Joseph Julian, sons Aaron and Brian Julian, her sister Sandra Kendrick-Moore, brother Russell Kendrick, sisters and brothers in law Judith Lesaca SantoDimingo, Armi Stephenson, Nini Andrada, Leopoldo Lesaca JR., Dexter Lesaca, Leo Melqui Lesaca and her many nieces and nephews. While we mourn the loss of our beloved Ellen, and the gift she was to those she loved, we know she is reunited with her parents, Marie and Eugene, as well as her brothers Mark and Paul Kendrick, and will dwell with the Lord forevermore. We lean upon her father's favorite scripture during this time: Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
