Obituary of Edna N Klein

Edna Nadia Feer Klein, born September 14, 1931 in Blair, Nebraska, passed away peacefully into the arms of our Lord on May 25, 2020 in Shelton, Washington In disbelief we watched you go, we watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, you fought so hard to stay alive. You faced your task with courage and kept fighting until the end. God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be, he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me, “ And now that you are “you“ again, in peace and free from pain, we could not wish you back again to suffer that way again. Her life journey began on September 14, 1931, in the small town of Blair, Nebraska. Edna Feer came into the world to the proud parents of Alfred and Viola Feer. They were blessed to finally get their sweet baby girl after having three boys, Donald, Edward, and Kenneth. Edna Nadia Feer was named after a friend of her mother who was taking care of them after her birth (Edna) and her middle name (Nadia) was a heroine in a book that her mom was reading. Edna lived in Blair all her adolescence life. She was adored by her older brothers and could do no wrong in their eyes. Edna graduated from Blair High School in 1949 and then graduated from Dana College. Edna married Herman Neuman in 1951 in Blair, Nebraska and gave birth to two boys Kent in 1952 and John in 1954. In 1956 she married Lloyd Chamberlin and together they made their way to the Pacific Northwest. On their journey, they had three spirited boys, Curtis in 1956, Mitchell in 1957, and David in 1958. After her separation from Lloyd in 1980, she married Gerald Klein in 1982 and lived a happy, active life until he passed in 1997. Edna spent the rest of her years with Ray Welander, her dear companion and friend. They spent their days on the canal in Lilliwaup with family, friends, crabbing, garage sales and watching the sunsets. Edna was a strong, independent woman that raised her family while working full time. After retiring from AT&T after 25 years, she spent her time traveling, volunteering for Dixieland Festival, round dancing, and enjoying time with her family and friends. She was a devoted, loved and treasured Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother and her memory will live on, “in her family forever”. In lieu of flowers please donate to any Alzheimer’s foundation.
