Obituary of Dolores M. Murdock

Dolores M. Murdock, “Dee”, 90 of Shelton Washington passed away Sunday, September 20th, 2020. Dee was born in Dorenlee, Alberta Canada on May 16th, 1930. She immigrated to the Pacific Northwest with her family as a young girl. Dee married James Murdock in 1965 and a few years later settled in Shelton. Dee and Jim enjoyed going to Bob’s Tavern for chicken and jojos and cold beer. She was hard working, down to earth and a self-proclaimed lumber woman. Dee always treated friends and neighbors as family. She loved having her family around her and always made the holidays bright with her homemade cookies and fudge. She loved all her grandchildren and would always send them home with a treat or special memento. Dee is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Thornberg and Joyce’s partner, Bob Kundracik; son, Wayne Sandvig; daughter, Sandra Kelloniemi; daughter-in-law Rita Golden; son-in-law Jim Peirsee; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, James Murdock; brother, Ken Cornelius; sister, Doreen Matthews; daughter, Linda Piersee; sons Warren and Jeff Sandvig and brother-in-law, Harry Thornberg. The family wants to thank close neighbors and friends who have supported Dee throughout the years. No matter the task it was done without thinking twice, from sending her flowers to making repairs. We truly thank you! Per Dee’s wishes and due to Covid-19 there will be no memorial service. She is entombed at Tahoma National Cemetery next to the love of her life. All who loved them are encouraged to visit when they can.
