Obituary of Ford Ivan Nelson

Ford Nelson, a Shelton resident, was born to Lorenzo and Ireta Nelson on the 23rd of March, 1937 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He passed away following his sudden diagnosis of leukemia on October 16, 2020 at Providence St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia, WA, age 83. He was a devoted, faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a specialized foreign car mechanic who owned and operated Shelton European Motors from March 1966 until October 1988. After he retired, he repaired and made clocks, enjoyed woodworking with his scroll saw, and more recently he repaired and sold lawn mowers. He also canned fruit from his own trees every year and made lots of grape, apple and pear juice for his friends and family. He was a very skillful man who could fix anything. He was a faithful, devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His survivors include his loving wife Nova, his son Jeff, and his daughter Jeanine Frost and her husband Jeff Frost; his three grandsons, Jesse and Alex Frost and Brendan Hanna; his four great grandchildren Hayden, Ameliya, Anthony, and Gwendolyn; his brother Orrin Nelson; his three sisters Dorothy, Rose, & Jane; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, and three brothers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
