Obituary of Alicia Obi
Alicia Ilene Obi was born to proud parents Elizabeth C. Obi and Martin R Sequak Sr. on January 31, 1993
in Shelton, Washington. She passed on to the next world on October 25, 2020 at Harborview Hospital in
Seattle, Washington at the age of 26 years. At the time of her passing, Alicia resided in Squaxin Island
Reservation .
Alicia is survived by her grandmother Deborah Obi-Napoleon, Father Martin R. Sequak Sr., her children
Thailer Obi and Nutella Obi; her siblings: Che-Vonne J. Obi and Martin R Sequak Jr. Daniel Napoleon; her
uncles Lewis Napoleon, Dion J. Obi and Estraberto Gamboa; her cousin, nephews Jeremiah Obi Rivera ,
Jackson Napoleon; nieces Shalee R. Allen, Melanie Sequak, and Olivia Mason .
Alicia was preceded in death by: her great grandmother, Elsie Napoleon; her grandfather, Dave
“ Peanuts ” Obi; her mother, Elizabeth C. Obi; uncle, Melvin Napoleon; aunties, Connie Napoleon, and
Rebecca Napoleon .
Alicia lived on the Quinault Reservsation for a short time with her mother and siblings. They all moved to
Squaxin at the age of 4. She also lived with her aunt and uncle, April David Boling. She attended school in
Aberdeen. She then moved back to Squaxin with her aunt and uncle, Connie Napoleon and Estraberto to
finish school .
Employment experience Alicia enjoyed included positions at the Kamilche Trading Post and the Little
Creek Casino Resort .
Alicia always enjoyed time with her family. She very much loved precious time with her children. It was
by her lighthearted spirit that she also loved to annoy her siblings .
Alicia had such an amazing heart: she always wanted to act as the mother hen to everyone and anyone.
Christmas was her most treasured holiday: this was the time she was able to spend time with everyone
that she held dear .
