Obituary of Jean Beryl Sharer

Jean Beryl Sharer, age 84, was born July 18, 1930, in Everett, WA, the daughter of Beryl and Hazel Leone Howden. She graduated in 1948 from S. Kitsap High School. Soon after, she moved to Allyn, WA where she met and married Richard W. Sharer where they owned and operated Sharer Digging Service until his death in 2009. She was an avid reader, gardener, with many talents including sewing, knitting, cake decorating and doll making. Everyone knew that if you couldn't find the answer to a question, you could call Jean. Her greatest joy were her children which included her many generations of 4-H members of whom she was a leader for 52 years and was recently nominated to the 4-H Hall of Fame. She lost her battle with cancer September 3rd, 2014 surrounded by her family and close friends. She is survived by sons Ronald (Beverly) of Allyn, Dennis (Mila) of Belfair, Thomas of North Highlands, CA, a daughter Patricia Andrews of Allyn. She also had 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life at her home on October 4, 2014, starting at noon. Memorials can be sent to the Mason Co. 4-H Council or cancer research.
