Obituary of Richard F. Laux Jr.

Richard Franklin Laux Jr Born September 28, 1958 to Richard Franklin Laux Sr and Bonnie Louise Laux (Holmes) in Olympia, Washington. Rick spent his whole life in the greater Olympia area. Rick loved working in construction and spent many years building houses around the puget sound. He would always be building things or always the first to come help fix things. He always took pride in sharing his vast knowledge and wisdom with everyone. His favorite activities include hunting, fishing, crabbing, bead working, pool leagues, 420 enthusiast, attending many concerts and new movies with his children and grandchildren. Most of all the many trips to Lake Cushmen and the beach with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Rick and Dee have been together for 28 wonderful years. There are so many wonderful and cherished memories that could fill a million pages. He loved showing the children and later grandchildren how to fish and crab. There are so many times he would almost get hooked or pinched by a crab and just laughed. He had an absolute passion for cooking, smoking salmon, also sharing it with friends and family. Rick's pride and joy were his wife Dolores, their children, grandchildren, his hunting knives and bow. Dee stayed by his side even through his last breath and for every moment here after. Rick was survived by his wife Dolores, children Jeanine, Rebecca, Erin, grandchildren Sakari, Aidan,and Lilly. His mom Bonnie, sister Marykay and brothers Tracy and James. Additional children Danny, Chris, Sara, Erica, and additional grandchildren. As well as his sisters and brother by marriage, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, countless Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, and Great Nephews. Preceded in death by his father Richard, his uncle Jack and his sister Tammy. Rick is and always will be the best loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Uncle, and the best friend you could ever ask for.
