Obituary of Toby Villines

Norman “Toby” Villines With incredibly sad hearts we said our final goodbyes to Toby on January 28, 2021 when he passed away peacefully at home in Shelton. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Toby was born July 28, 1946 in Compton, Arkansas to Hadley and Delphia Villines. He moved with his family to Washington in 1954 and graduated from Shelton High in 1964 Toby had various careers over the years. He served as a Lieutenant in the National Guard, spent several years in the Simpson Mills and owned a diaper service. He then went to work at St. Peter Hospital where he stayed for 19 years holding various positions before leaving as Facilities Director. Toby then became Facilities Director at Little Creek Casino and was responsible for overseeing construction of new additions, remodels, parking garage, event center and two hotel towers. Toby enjoyed gardening and raising farm animals. He was a farmer at heart and could often be found relaxing and watching the garden grow. Toby was well known for his wonderful sense of humor and his “Toby jokes”. He had an incredible imagination and would make up bedtime stories and silly songs that were unique to each child. He loved his family and we will all miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife Junell, daughters Kirsten (Gary) Sytsma, Tiffany Villines, Sara (Chris) Sandoval, and son Travis (Reagann) Villines, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, brother O.D, sisters Gerry and Rita, sisters in law Mona and Bev and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna and brothers Utah and Tom. Due to current restrictions a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
