Obituary of Les Jacobsen

Les Jacobsen was born on December 27, 1961, in Seattle, Washington. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Pacific Northwest, near Mt. Rainier. He was the oldest of four children. He passed away on May 20, 2021. After graduating from high school, Les worked for the Department of Natural Resources as a firefighter and for the youth conservation corps building trails in Mt. Rainier National Park. He worked as a logger, tree planter, and firefighter until he transitioned to working in the construction industry. He was especially proud of his work on the Cowlitz Falls Dam and the fishing bridge at Riffe Lake and other bridge work. He found his lifelong home in Mossyrock when he opened up Jacobsen Painting and worked locally in the Mossyrock and East Lewis County area as a professional painter and craftsman. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going crabbing in Westport with his family. He is survived by his mother Marilyn Jacobsen, his daughters, Ashley Renee and Audrey Carmen Jacobsen and his granddaughter Rilie Taylor Renee Jacobsen; his sibblings, Jacob Jacobsen and wife Becky, Katrina Rahier and husband Steve, and Leif Jacobsen and partner Jillene, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, including Jacob, Sara, Jessica, Joshua and Justin, who all loved him dearly.
